Xatu (Female)

There are few Pokémon shrouded in as much mystery than Xatu.  Most theories on the Pokémon stem from how it meditates.  Once a Xatu begins to meditate at sunrise, the entire day will pass before it will move again.  While it meditates, it eyes the sun's movements all day.  Its believed that Xatu stays still and quiet all day because it is seeing both the past and future at the same time.  According to South American lore, Xatu's right eye sees the future, while it's left eye views the past.  Because of this, some people revere Xatu as a mystical Pokémon out of their belief that it possess the power to see the future.  One theory is that it stands still all day out of fear of the terrible things it has foreseen in the future.  Meanwhile, some people in another land have long believed that Xatu are emissaries from another world.  While meditating during the day, a Xatu may start to become uncomfortably hot, and will cool itself down by opening it's wings.  A few Xatu have been known to meditate at night instead of the day.  The eyes of the Xatu that do so follow the movement of a random star.  If a comet is in the sky, all Xatu will watch it, no matter what time of day they prefer.  The female variation of Xatu has one less yellow stripe then the male variation.
