VULPIX has just one snow-white colored tail at birth, but, as VULPIX grows older, the single tail gains color and more tails split from it.  The splitting of its tail is believed to come from the love it receives.  By the end of VULPIX's development, it will have six tails.  Just before evolution, its six tails grow hot as if on fire.  The fur of VULPIX is absolutely beautiful, and its tails are magnificently curled.  Inside VULPIX's body is a fire that never goes out, making VULPIX quite warm and cuddly.  During the daytime, when the temperatures rise, VULPIX releases flames from its mouth to prevent overheating; these flames from VULPIX's mouth seem to resemble the spirits of the deceased, and some people mistakenly think that the fire is a ghost.  Despite the fire that burns inside it, normal VULPIX have a hard time adapting to the snowy peaks of mountains.  VULPIX can freely control fire, making fiery orbs fly like WILL-O'-WISPs.  If VULPIX is attacked by an enemy that is stronger than itself, VULPIX feigns injury to fool the enemy and escapes.
