Though little, RIOLU's body is quite powerful as it can crest three mountains and cross two canyons on one night with little need for rest.  Despite being a youngster, RIOLU works very hard, putting all of its effort into whatever task is at hand.  They have the unique ability to see emotions such as joy and rage in the form of waves; these waves of emotion are known as a aura.  RIOLU can discern the physical and emotional states of people, POKÉMON, and other natural things from observing the shape of their aura waves.  However, the aura that emanates from RIOLU's body is stronger and more defined than most other living things.  Instead of speaking, RIOLU communicates with one another using their auras, and, to achieve this, it changes the shape of its aura using emotions.  The Intensity of RIOLU's aura increases so dramatically when it feels afraid or sad that it alerts others from great distances.  They spend so much time training their body and aura, that they sometimes forget to look for companionship.
